Candle Care:

Trim the wick before every burn and allow wax to fully melt to the edge of the jar, especially on the first burn! 

For Cotton Wicks:

Trim wick to about 1/4" with wick clippers

For Wood Wicks:

Break off the black bits of the wick using fingers, wick clippers or even nail clippers (It works, I promise!) to shorten the wick to be about 1/8″ 

Wood-wicks not staying lit?:

For a proper burn, you must trim the wick before every burn and allow wax to fully melt to the edge of the jar, especially on the first burn! Do this by breaking off the black bits of the wick using fingers or wick or nail clippers to shorten the wick to be about 1/8 of an inch. 

What's the difference between cotton wicks and wood wicks?

Compared to the traditional cotton wick, wood wicks are a bit different. They burn longer, cleaner and create a relaxing crackling sound. The cotton wick candles that should be trimmed to 1/4". Wood wicks on the other hand need to be trimmed to 1/8" or less before burning. The shorter the wick, the better
